The scheme was set up by people who have spent their working lives in the fenestration industry, and who got tired of watching good products lose out to confident marketing.
Remove the guesswork.
Performance claims in this sector are hard to compare. Two products can quote the same U-value and behave very differently once they are in a roof. Test evidence is held in different formats, calculated to different assumptions, and rarely published in full.
This scheme exists to remove that guesswork. Every verified product is assessed against the same requirements, using the same methods, and the result is published in a directory that anyone can search.
The scheme is deliberately small and deliberately independent. We do not manufacture, sell or specify rooflights. We have no products of our own to protect. The only thing we have to offer is an honest answer, so that is what we protect.
